The smithy in Ark Survival Evolved is the first major crafting upgrade that you build. With it, you will make most of the items you need in PvE. You can craft metal picks and axes, which will give you more resources. Firearms like the long-neck rifle will help your defense, offense, and taming capabilities.
Resources Required to Craft a Smithy (lvl 20)
- 5 metal ingot
- 30 wood
- 50 stone
- 20 hide
The most
complicated thing about crafting a smithy is the required metal ingots. For those, you will have to craft a refining forge. Both the forge and the smithy
will have to be placed on a foundation.

also makes a good storage option. It has
high health (1,500) and a decent amount of storage slots (75).
